We tell ourselves that waiting is wise. That holding off is responsible. That “someday” is safer than “today.”
But here’s the truth: waiting comes with a cost.
Every delay—whether in launching that project, making that call, hiring that person, or investing in yourself—carries an invisible price tag. Sometimes it’s money. Sometimes it’s time. Sometimes it’s the chance that never comes again.
I’ve lived it myself. I can point to moments where hesitation cost me more than action ever would have. The opportunity expired. The price went up. The energy faded. The window closed.
That’s the cost of delay.
So here’s my challenge to you:
What’s one time waiting cost you more than acting would have?
I’d love to hear your story. Comment, or reach out.
